The Infinity 18VS heat pump is different in a lot of ways. It offers a variable-speed compressor that can modulate in 5 stages to as low as 25% of its capacity. The ability to run in lower speeds most of the time makes it quieter and more adept at dehumidifying the air in the summer. The 18VS is also significantly better than a 2-stage unit at keeping temperatures even. At lower speeds this unit in at its best efficiency level and for getting the most benefit out of the unit you may want an air purifier as it causes a constant air flow through the system.
